Contemporary Innovations Journal | Last updated: 18 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Contemporary Innovations Journal own by Lujosh Ventures Ltd ("we", "us", "the Publisher") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you register as an author, submit an expression of interest, submit a manuscript, or otherwise interact with our Open Book Submission & Publication System (OBSPS).
1. Data We Collect
- Registration data: Name, email address, affiliation, country, ORCID iD, phone number, and password (stored as a secure hash).
- Submission data: Manuscript files, abstracts, keywords, cover letters, co-author details, and any personal information included in submitted documents.
- Payment data: APC payment references, transaction IDs, and proof-of-payment documents. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Paystack or Flutterwave.

- To process APC payments and issue invoices.
- To publish your name, affiliation, ORCID, and chapter/book metadata on the book landing page and in metadata submitted to repositories (CrossRef, DOAB, OpenAIRE, etc.).
- To send you submission status updates, editorial communications, and — if you opt in — new call-for-chapters alerts.
- To maintain platform security, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Publication of Personal Data

4. Data Sharing
We share your personal data only as necessary:

- Metadata repositories: CrossRef, DOAB, OpenAIRE, BASE, CORE, and Google Scholar receive bibliographic metadata including author names upon publication.
- Payment processors: Paystack and Flutterwave receive data necessary to process APC payments.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time; however, data associated with published works is retained as part of the scholarly record.
- Submission data: Retained for a minimum of 7 years for audit purposes, even if a submission is rejected or withdrawn.
