About This Journal
This journal provides a dedicated home for scholarship on regionally rooted and indigenous knowledge traditions across the world's diverse cultural zones — including African, Asian, Latin American, Pacific, and other indigenous and non-Western epistemologies. It addresses a growing decolonial and area-studies research movement not represented elsewhere in the title list, and avoids the narrower regional framing of a single-continent focus.
Scope
To document and advance scholarship on indigenous and regionally distinct knowledge systems worldwide. Covers: Indigenous and traditional knowledge systems (African, Asian, Pacific, Latin American, and other regions), Comparative area studies and regional epistemologies, Traditional governance and community-based systems, Cultural preservation and heritage knowledge, Decolonial and postcolonial studies, Indigenous approaches to sustainability, health, and development, Ethnographic and regional case-study research, South-South knowledge exchange and comparative regional studies,
